Indicate that a voice recording was sent even if it is not kept

Some of my friends and I communicate primarily via voice recordings. If one of my friends listens to an audio recording from me and doesn’t “keep” the message, it appears on my end as though I never sent anything. And if my friends listens to the recording, doesn’t “keep” it, and also doesn’t respond right away, then I am left trying to remember if I ever responded because there is no indication that I sent anything. Some indication would help me not get confused.
