Unmuted navigation voice only after longer stretches

It would be really nice if there was a setting option where the navigation voice only talks to me to tell me there's a turn coming up if I've been going on the same road for several miles (aka the freeway). I find that having the navigation voice is very annoying when I'm driving all the little turns and blocks around my home or around my destination, but it's very useful on the freeway or on other roads where I go straight for a long distance because then I'm not watching the map as closely.
